I Went To An Auction Today

Wow! Someone was unloading a bunch of--shall we call them--fossils?!?!?

Too bad the drive didn't pan out. Agreed that the "bait and switch" mammoth teeth would have made the drive worth the time but just think of the person that got all of that fossil art.

Cheers.

That was by accident that they put up the wrong pics, it is the first time that I have seen that. And I do hope the people that bid on them are happy with their replicas.

Sometimes I get bored when I am there and I will bid on things, but not this stuff.

Or perhaps one of their ancestors were indeed one of the first social invertebrates? :P

Yes, they use to call it the “Moroccan Starfish Roundup”, it was held every 1000 years.

I'm going to go down to my nearest landscaping supply depot and load the back of the pick up with some Flagstone "trackways".

Anybody want in on the deal?

So much talk about fossils getting expensive. Here is a solution, don't by them, make them yourself like this guy.

Wow.  The moroccans have really shot themselves in the foot.  So many people nowadays wont even consider buying a fossil from Morocco.

Looks like a starfish Conga line.  If you play music do they dance back and forth?

Tidgy's Dad

There are thousands of these dodgy fossils including the starfish plates for sale in Erfoud.

And every summer, thousands of unwitting tourists buy them at amazingly high prices. :(

That is a real trackway! It's just that nothing has made any tracks on it yet. Or maybe the owner's cat walked on it? :zzzzscratchchin:
