Shell Fragment

This I found at the pond, east N. Carolina. it measures 3 cm and is some kind of shell. It has what looks like some crushing damage. I am thinking this might be a part of the back chambers of a cephalopod - possibly Eutrephoceras?

Its interesting I hunt Eastern N.C. and have never come across anything that looks like that. Maby someone will have the answer Ya got me curious now lol
