hi everyone this is matt again there was one more thing I wanted to show everyone from the hamburg fossil and gem show 

I got me 4 old antique spanish coins with a square in the middle 

here is a photo

I don't think those are Spanish I think they are Asian coins.

Yes, they're Chinese coins, often used in Feng Shui, put one in a three-legged moon toads mouth and have it facing your door to bring in money.

They're known as Cash Coins and bring in wealth and good fortune so you can keep one or two in your wallet or have three on a piece of red ribbon in your pocket.

@Tidgy's Dad is exactly right.  I found one at my home in Michigan with my metal detector that dates to the 1700s. It was likely brought over and dropped by Chinese railroad workers who brought it for good luck.  You can look the coins up online and find out from what dynasty and date.

It was also very popular to have them attached to many antique sewing baskets as well.
