Fossil Claw
I took my daughters for a short fossil hunt at Trammel Fossil Park. It was about 33 degrees out so they got cold and went back to the car fairly quickly. I would say it was about a 45-minute hunt. They have the formation levels marked at the Fossil Park so I would say I was at the Miamitown level when I found what I think is an Isorophus cincinnatiensis edrioasteroid. Attached are some photos including one next to a 1-inch cube. I also have a small cheap in microscope attachment for my my phone and took a couple pictures of the peripheral rim.
Uncle Siphuncle
Great find. I have 1.5 of these. Mine photograhed best using extreme low angle lighting to show the “arms”. And I thought Trammel needed a good scrape to be productive again. Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."

Even if the monticules and shape have been eroded away, the evidence of what could possibly be zooecia is the wrong shape and the walls too thin, i think. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend. This was on the front edge of what appeared to be a slab just starting to weather out. I had to use a hammer and chisel breaking off the front edge of the slab. Maybe there's been enough weathering over the last several years to start the natural scraping. Here's my attempt at low angle light to make the "arms" feel better. FossilDAWG
Definitely an edrioasteroid, but the central disc is disarticulated while the peripheral ring is well preserved. Nice find! Don
