Compressed Dinosaur Skull?

Rob in N.J.

Recommended Posts

Fossil was found in a river bed in northeast Texas known for Cretaceous fossils... Fanin county if my memory serves me.. between 2000-2005. I didn’t know what it was for the longest time. After staring at this thing for a very long time it dawned on me... could it be a compressed skull. It measures 2 inches from front to back and 1.5inches at its widest point by .5 of an inch thick.I thought I would post it up and try to get some feedback!! Thank you in advance for any information!! Happy Hunting!!

Welcome to the Forum. :)

More pictures are needed.

Please take pictures of Top, Bottom, All 4 sides. From Directly above the fossil.

Also, make sure to put a ruler in for scale.

That said, looks like a fish skull, to me.

Better pictures will help with a better ID.

Welcome to TFF!

I agree that more pictures are needed.

Please take the pictures from all sides straight on, not at the oblique angle of the one posted.

This will help Us to get a better  idea of the shape and details of this piece.

I will reserve comment until better pictures are posted.:D
