Dave_cooper79
Good morning, we found this fossil yesterday on the beach, I’d just like any input as to weather it is indeed a fossil as we are very new to fossil hunting, any help would be very much appreciated. Rockwood
Sorry, but I'm pretty sure it's not a fossil.

ynot
Looks like an iron concretion. Agree with Rockwood, not a fossil. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF.
Mark Kmiecik
It's a Leaverite. Leaverite where you found it. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

I still might bring it home for a closer look if I didn't have a lens with me. I have some fish parts that have a tiled like appearance a little like that, (and my eyes aren't what they used to be).
