Here's a nice little Calymene niagarensis. These guys have interesting little holes in them where calcite crystals are present. Makes some of the prep a bit interesting.

Here's a neat piece that I worked on yesterday a bit. It's a really cool hash piece from the Bay View Coral bed in the Windom. I think the big piece is a Pterinopecten, but I'm honestly not sure. We find shreds of them from time to time, but at almost 3" across this is one of the largest, most complete pieces I have. There is also a collapsed crinoid in association. From the looks of the layout, size, and shape of the bits, I believe the calyx was somewhere near the bottom near where the bit of bryozoan is exposed and that the arms are collapsed to the right of the piece. So far I have managed to find pieces of the bivalve, the crinoid, two different types of bryozoan, branching coral, and trilo-bits in this rather small piece. Going to keep at the slow go and see what else I can uncover.
