Ceasar Miranda
Hello everyone, I'm visiting my family in Puerto Rico and I met a person who has this megalodon tooth for about 20 years. The location where the tooth was found is in Moca Puerto Rico a non coastal area but with the same limestone formation like the coast. I have until the 28 of this month to convince that person to sell me tooth before I go back Texas, so I wonder if anyone has a good idea a meg like this from a very rare location can worth. Miocene_Mason
It’s certainly a beauty, I’ve never seen one from Puerto Rico before. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason

True, I have never heard of Megalodon fossils coming out of Puerto Rico. It’s a very nice megalodon tooth!! Es un Maravilloso diente de Megalodon!! Ramon
The geology for Moca, Puerto Rico seems consistent with that of Megalodon (Oligocene, Miocene, and Pliocene). caldigger
Fossils are only "worth" whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Usually sentimental value of finding it is the highest factor in that calculation. What is the size on this tooth?
Fossildude19
Check online retailers for teeth of similar quality and size. You should be able to form an opinion of value from that. siteseer
Many years ago, I saw some Oligocene/Miocene teeth from Cibao which is in the same area but they were black and showed water-wear. That tooth looks great - maybe from a different formation.
