Recommended Posts

Another tooth I found at Venice FL. I’m thinking a very worn and beat up great white.  I think it has character. :P What do you think? Thanks!

I believe this is a Hemipristis by looking at the root and overall shape. root is completely wrong for Great White.

Okay thanks, but the two upper sides of the root are busted if that helps any. I thought that a Hemi would have a dip in between the two upper parts of the root, like the other hemi I posted recently. Again, thanks for the help!

The tooth could also be a Carcharhinus species. Very hard to be sure with the amount on wear on the tooth.

I'd say Carcharhinus at best guess.
