I like McGean B15 but it is hard to find these days. Butvar B76 or Paraloid B72 are readily available consolidation materials that are great to use. I always consolidate fish since the bones are very flaky and brittle. I try to use as little glue as possible since it is harder to deal with later on during the prep.

I must be pretty good for Ron to say I’m not too bad. :D

Alright I'm getting the dreaded 200 can't upload error so I'm pasting the post the I wrote up on our Fossil Forum Facebook Group. @Kane @Fossildude19 any suggestions on the dreaded 200. I decompressed all the jpeg's down to 200Kb or less. Facebook likes them but TFF does not. Sad day. Anyways here's the post. Hope you all like it.

Had a fun time working around the edges of the carapace on this Tumi crab. Love working on these. 2 more hours invested.

Teased out the big claw a bit more. This crab has great preservation.

@RJB thanks for the inspiration. I present one really difficult Tumidocarcinus  giganteous. Spent 20 hours on this beast. Thin coating of cyanoacrylate applied after the prep to stabilize the fossil.

Nice Job!

The preservation varies so much on these tumidos and this looked like a tricky one. The concretions start out as big very hard rocks and weather down to what you have. Sometimes the calcite is leached out, which makes for softer rock, but also more fragile crab shell, like yours. Then you have to go slow and glue often.

Ok lots to talk about. Went back to the big crab and prepared the legs down and removed some of the cyanoacrylate. Looking much better! Cracked open a large concretion from @Fossilis Willis Unfortunately no luck this time but thanks anyways Will! Then prepared the next Tumi a bit more. This one is really starting to look good. Should be a high quality crab with some neat dimensions.

Dang it! I was afraid it might be a little too round. It's a snarge shoot with those suckers. Hopefully the rest of the goodies were less disappointing.

Yeah everything was awesome. That Pulalius vulgaris will be my next project. Thanks Will!

Slow and steady wins the race. I’ve lost track of all the time spent on this one. About 18 hours. Learning how to repair as I go. Knightia turned out really nice for a simple prep.
