Partial spinal column ID

[Can Slaw]

Hello everyone,

I found this small column of 5 vertebrae in the gravel bars of the North Sulphur River in Texas.

To me it seems obvious that it has spent some time in the river since some sediment has been removed but they are all five still attached to each other.

Other than the obvious, I have no other identification but would love to learn more about what this is or what they once belonged to.

I could only attach one picture to the post for some reason. I will post more images in response.

The ruler is decimal inches.

Those are most likely from the fish Cimolichthys. They have very ornamented hour-glass shaped vertebra.
