Rock or tooth?

Hi Folks,

I've been holding onto this for years as it always looked like a tooth to me. Any help would be appreciated.

I found it while hiking at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in the 90's.

Probably a rock just wanted see what others thought.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

I have to agree. The lack of enamel, and lack of any bone material suggest rock for this item.

Keep on looking. :)

Welcome to the forum!  I too think your suspicions are correct - it is a suggestively shaped rock and not a fossil.

Welcome to the forum!  I too think your suspicions are correct - it is a suggestively shaped rock and not a fossil.  But the fact that you picked it up and held on to it shows an awareness and interest in a hobby that can yield loads of fun and education.  AND, you've come to the right place to nourish that interest.  Again, Welcome!
