Huntlyfossils
A few of the fossils I have found in the Coalfeilds Central Queensland ,Australia. All are of Permian age and from a terrestrial environment, I'm unsure of the species of plants. Hoping to find more in the future.
grandpa
Wow, really nice specimens. I especially like the fossils in photos 3 and 4. I've never seen anything like #4. Do you know the ID?

Monica
I agree with the others - all of your finds look great, but #4 is really unique - congratulations!
Fossildude19
I think #4 is probably some sort of Equisetales, or Calamitales , (horsetail fossils), rather than seeds. Neocalamites sp. is a possibility. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." FossilNerd
I’m going to be the oddball and say that I like #6 the best. It looks like you can still make out the bark and growth rings. I bet a little prepping would make it really stand out! A diamond in the rough. I concede that #4 is also very interesting too. Wish I could help with IDs, but beyond knowing that it all seems to be plant material, my knowledge is limited.
