found with clay Septarian nodules aka lightning stones. Transparent when wet. back show the tail end?  plus a round something top center. front dry and moist. some kind of life form. S.W. Lake Michigan Fennville, Mich. base may be 50 mil, year old clay.

It can’t be 50 mil, has to be a lot older.

I think there is a worn ammonite on the first picture and a worn orthoceras in the second picture. 

Neat.

I agree that the second piece is a worn orthocone nautiloid. The first one may be a goniatite.

Thank's I see in the first top left of the round one is part of a second one.  Not sure if possible to polish or do other to bring out the specimen? I do buff the Septarian nodules I posted under rocks. This is only lightly wet sanded with 600 grit wet or dry paper as for Petoskey stone. 3.4 cm wide. the worm is 2.9 cm long. The round is .5 cm wide. or is it 3.40 cm? not good with metric. found on the beach yesterday-Friday.

I think nature has done a lot of the work for you! If it were me, I’d keep it as is.
