Ted37
Nice day at the park. Found a few interesting pieces. Didn't bother with most the small specimens I saw. Still have not found a tooth that I know the park can produce. Some of the broken ones I have found, tell me they exist. Anyway here's a few pic, a few before I picked them up. Ted37
The river stones themselves are quite interesting and I ended up keeping a few of those as well. This one was about 11/2 inch and found in the open may be 20 yards form other tooth hunters. I was lucky I got there first. I was coming from the opposite direction, not sure the etiquette on that. I certainly would not walked up to them searching, but maybe to say hello.. They started going back the other way after 10 mins, so who knows. Obviously, not an extraordinary find, but for Purse its pretty decent. A little wear on one side of the root.

Ted37
Last pick I promise, this looked really interesting. I swear it looks like a jaw tooth maybe, but I seem to find a lot of the Bog Iron. Glad labor day is here, I'm ready to try my other spot now that parking will soon be free. Fossildude19
I think the last may be a broken, worn root piece with a cusp. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Adam86cucv
Nice finds. I'm with you on the crowded areas they'll hopefully start to dwindling down after this weekend.
cck
It’s an Otodus fragment I think.... cusp and root... they’re most always pretty beat up.
Searcher78
Nice finds. I went to Matoaka beach and only found very small teeth. I’m wishing I went to Purse Park instead.
