elcoincoin
Hi all, I have been more or less away from the forum for the last few monthes. Life has been hectic. And if i still managed to go on the field quite a lot, i did have any time left for the rest (writing, taking photos, processing stuff, labelling etc). Nevertheless, i finally manage a quick photo session. As an appetizer, what is prolly the best piece for quite some time. A double trilo, Eodalmanitina sp, one preserved with his caudal spine. So 2 rocks as a starter . I had to sacrifice part of the 2 counterprints, to unveil the opposite trilo... Regards.

elcoincoin
forgot to post this one : how it was found : 1 half buried and 1 broken in 2 with 1 half in the wrong rock
Wrangellian
Nice ones. Here is what that one might have looked like before it was distorted... (Fun doing this) I had to shorten the pic to less than 50% of its original length!
RJB
Will you glue on the 'wrong' piece of rock and prep out the trilobite? RB
elcoincoin
i thought i wouldnt manage to save the second one at all. I thought the part on the same half than the other trilo would just shatter away. But luckily while removing the matrix on the first one, the vibrations made the trilo pop out in only 2 pieces. Which i glued on the other block which the rest of it. Also the matrix started to show growing cracks. So apart from maybe some small finitions, it will stay as it is now. It did split reallt good. Ectillaenus Giganteus, south of Rennes - France, found in may. Size about 15 cm long.
