dbrake40
There are no wild hogs, supposedly, in Minnesota. Could this be from a domestic hog or something else all together? Found on river gravel bar in southern Minnesota.
caldigger
I was just reading up on your subject matter and a few articles mentioned there are a great many wild/feral hogs just on the other side of the border in Wisconsin. It is not too difficult to imagine some have made their way west into Minnesota. Another mention on a hunting forum has a man stating he goes on wild pig hunts in Minnesota every year. So there very well may be some roaming about the state. I for one live on the central coast of California where we have them by the thousands, brought in and set free by William Randolph Hearst for hunting sport. Now they are everywhere! I seem to pass a fresh roadkill almost on a daily basis on my driving route up north.
