Creek - Don
I found this bone tonight in the Dallas creek, just above the limestone layer (Pleistocene). I can't seem to match with any other mammal bones. Can somebody ID this? Sorry about the rubber band. Bone was broken in half when I dug it out. fossilus
This is an atlas vertebrae. Bison likely because of the size.
Creek - Don
Thank you fossilus. That was it! I couldn't quiet figure out what this bone was. I just compared this atlas vertebrae with Bison Priscus. It was an exact match.
