Darktooth
Looks like the fossil wood that we find from the Devonian, at Deep Springs Road. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

Fossildude19
Where was this found? It looks like plant material from the Early Jurassic that can be found in the Connecticut River Valley. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." It looks to be the same type of stone from the holyoke dino prints 20 min away. Also does this look like a print?
Fossildude19
Cool. That makes sense. The fossils in East Longmeadow I believe are from the Portland Formation. Lots of tracks in the Portland formation. Do you have a picture of it? Fossildude19
Not seeing any dinosaur footprints, but some trace fossils/worm burrows, perhaps. I know very little about these, but a little online research does show that similar traces have been found in at least one of the nearby quarries. Here's a link to a research paper detailing some trace fossils found in one of those quarries. One of the photos has some similarities to yours and I think it's worth taking a look at. Start the day with a smile and get it over with.
