What kind of shark tooth?

Can anyone ID this tooth for me? It was a freebie, so I didn’t look into it at all, and the label seemed to be incorrect, as those teeth all have cusps. I can’t find the label at the moment, but I know it was a carcharodon. I THINK it was labeled Orientalis.

Definately not Paleocarcharodon orientalis.  It looks like it might be a "Frankentooth"  root mated to a crown. There seems to be a whole lot of filler between the two.  As for what it is, I don't know.

Maybe C. angustidens. The pictures are kind of blurry to see if there are any serrations. But your second pic looks like there are along that lower edge.

Take pictures of the tooth sitting on a flat surface, not in your hand. Both sides. Please read some of the pinned topics on how to get your item identified.

But, I do agree with @caldigger definately not Paleocacharodon orientalis. It could be C. auriculatus. With missing cusps.

Yeah, she said the was restoration to the root. Yes, there are indeed worn down serrations. Sorry, I’ll take better pictures of it later tonight.
