Something inside a little concretion..

So... The story behind this one is that as we were on our way to Travemûnde, we stopped by this beach/cliff, about 20km north of said town. I think that area is called Brodtener Steilufer.

I saw this little concretion and decided to whack that on to another rock, and this little thing popped from there. No single idea what it could be. It is quite fragile (I accidentally brushed almost all material in other half away...). And as it can be seen, small one too. No idea of the age or any other metadata. BUT according to one site, near by is sites where Cretaceous, Silurian and Ordovician material can be found.

One thing that came to in my mind is possible graptolite..?

I also could try to prepare it a little bit with dental tools, but i have to gather my courage for that.. This is really fragile piece, but I still would like to get some more features to show.. Maybe some day.

I think graptolite is a good bet, maybe a Silurian monograptid with something like the preservation of these (a Polish limestone erratic).

Acid treatment can work well with limestone specimens but it's rather specialist and the results will be very fragile. I haven't tried it yet!

Ah, when I googled that, I got a lot more same looking pictures. I might try more with searching graptolite types/species. I tried before, but not too much, just to get an idea what those look like.

What comes to acids, it's best that I dont touch those.. :D

Thank you for your answer!
