Hello!
Is it possible to identify genus - Hexanchus or Notorynchus, or  both..?
Ukraine, Lviv region!
Thanks in advance!

There is a way, although I’m not very adept.

These look like hexanchus to me though. I think notorhynchus have one tooth that I a lot larger than the others and then the rest get gradually smaller and the hexanchus have teeth gradually getting smaller but are missing that one “bigger” tooth.

Perhaps it would be easier to differentiate between these two genres with the age of fossils.

From my recent readings, the material from the Central Paratethys segments of Ukraine I believe are Miocene so both species can be present.  Not sure you are going to be able to identify them beyond their family name since they are very worn and not complete.   Both missing the very important front end of the tooth

Also, there exists the possibility that they are neither.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
