Givetian fossils from Poland

Hello,

I have found these during my recent trip to Wymysłów and Śniadka, two locations in Poland with middle Devonian fossils of the Świętomarz Beds. The ones from Wymysłów seem to be some kind of trace fossils:

These specimens are from Śniadka - I hope the pictures show that these have little "spikes" all over the surface.

Very interesting finds, Kasia. :)

I have no idea about the trace fossils, but the spiny things could be productid brachiopods, I think.

Oooo, Trace fossils! The first set of pics looks like something crawled along the bottom and dug occasionally to find food as it walked.  I have not seen anything like these before though. Thanks for posting them!

Thanks - I also thought so, looking at the first one - and I even thought it could have been a trilobite. But I'm not sure if the size of the traces is right for a trilo :headscratch:
