kozmik frakture
Recently, a friend of my wife, ask her if I might like some pieces of petrified wood. Of course, I said yes, expecting some small chunks the size of a couple of 50 cent pieces. Boy, was I surprised and delighted. As one can see, they got some size and heft. You can see some very good detail and they fluoresce nicely under UVB & UVC light. I believe the petrified wood is from New Mexico, beyond that no info. Fossildude19
These are some nice examples of petrified wood. Funny, when I started out here on the forum, I had no interest in Pet. Wood. Over the years, I have come to appreciate just how cool many of these pieces can be. Not sure you can ID any further with the lack of provenance. Thanks for posting these. kozmik frakture
The more I ponder it, I think the pieces are from Arizona or Wyoming. I'll try doing some UV photos to show the fluorescence. Kim
