Description from Südkamp, 2017, p. 134: "Encrinaster has many characteristics common with Euzonosoma. The differences are as follows. The elongated arms are strap-like, broadening distally until the disc edge and then tapering evenly as comparatively narrow arms to the arm tips. The interradial disc outline is convex to straight. The marginals are flat overlapping plates. The ambulacrals are more delicate, less rectangular than in Euzonosoma, and more sub-triangular in oral view."
Identified by oilshale using Südkamp 2017.
