Mosasaurs

Mosasaurs
Among the most fearsome marine reptiles ever, mosasaurs have the well-deserved name: T-Rex of the sea. They grew up to 17 meters long, and were the apex predators of the Cretaceous oceans before going extinct 66 million years ago. They breathed air, gave birth to live young, and possessed an extra set of pterygoid teeth within their jaws. Their fossils are found all over the world, and are well-documented from Morocco and North America.
