Neuropteris ovata is a pteridosperm that has many different leave's shapes
which depends on the area of the frond to which the pinnules (leaves) belong, and on the variety of the specimen. Just as the size can also vary.
We can see this well reflected in the subtriangular shapes of some basescopic pinnules of some specimens.
We have two types of N. ovata:
1. N. ovata Hoffmann
2. N. ovata Grandeyuri?
