Looks similar to the Early Coniacian mortoni up north but a very different color. Cool how much it varies from Santonian mortoni… I’m ready for the species to get split up already!

I love the Ptychodus whipplei. It looks almost like a work of art with the ridges sweeping down the sides of the crown with that beautiful reddish brown color. The ridges are usually hard to see in that area.
