oilshale Posted June 10, 2011 Nala, not a Gosiutichthys but either a very nice Mioplosus labracoides Cope, 1877 or a Priscacara sp.. Gosiutichthys has only one dorsal fin, Mioplosus and Priscacara two. Mioplosus has relatively soft 1st dorsal fin rays whereas Priscacara has more sturdy and thicker fin rays. Thomas Link to comment

oilshale Posted June 10, 2011 My pleasure. It could be a juvenile Priscacara. The first dorsal fin seems to have spines. Thomas Link to comment

bowfin Posted October 5, 2012 nice preparation on all your fish. I have several fish from the Green river formation that I would like to prepare but I'm new and very inexperienced. Can you give me some helpful information to get me started. I do have a compressor but no tools other than some denial picks from my dentists. i have a very nice Priscacara, maybe 10 inches long that is in some heavy matrices. Thanks in advance Link to comment
