Flexicalymene sp.?

Flexicalymene sp.?

Ordovician?

Waynesville Formation?

Ohio?

As an exception I am not posting a fish but another trilobite!

I got this pyritized Flexicalymene ? from the same dealer and forgot to write down the provenience. I believe this bug comes from the Waynesville Formation, Ohio and might be a Flexicalymene meeki. Any idea?

That's a nice Trilobite! You might try posting it on the fossil identification page.

One of the Forum's Trilobite specialists should raise to the challenge.

This is a wonderful grouping of pictures. Thanks

It's a real nice trilobite. I don't believe it's a Flexi unless the cephalon is distorted. I've collected in the U. Ordovician Waynesville,OH for years and I have never found a trilobite with that patina. If the experts here can't answer your question, send the pix to the Drydredgers.org. They know just about all there is to know about the Ord. of Ohio. Nice 'bite though.

Herb,

I don't know the first thing about trilobites. I've found this little bug when I sorted out my drawers. I will ask our friends here in the forum for help.

Thanks

Thomas
