It seems that this condition is not rare among the sand tiger sharks.

Hulbert (Ed.), in his THE FOSSIL VERTEBRATES OF FLORIDA, distinguishes between the two Eocene species in Florida when he says,

Carcharias hopei has smooth lingual enamel [as opposed to striated enamel] and anterior teeth with a single pair of strong, lingually curved lateral cusplets....

Other authors use the term "recurved" to describe the form of the cusplets.

Excelent! I've found these before (mostly missing the cusps, never in real good condition) and didn't know what to label them as.
