Ancolioceras opalinoides & Ludwigia haugi

This composite block measures 20x18.5cm. L.haugi is in the middle. All the others are A.opalinoides. The one on the left is complete. From the Sinon Bank, Murchisonae Zone, upper Aalenian in the Wutach Valley.

Thanks. I didn't time it, although I'd first thought to make a photo journal of the preparation, but then forgot until it was too late. I'd estimate about 8 hours.

Wow! That is a beauty! You are truly an artist and obviously have the material and tools for the job.

Very impressive! I have a few ammonites now and can appreciate the challenges you face doing that.

Thanks ed. Yes, I've got air pens, abraders and whatnot and have been practicing the art for about 3 years now. Previously I did everything by hand.
