Now that has GOT to be the most well preserved Ginseng shark tooth I have ever seen. Truly a beauty. Congrats again Northern!

its nice to see a tooth that you've not seen before.

strikes me as odd that they think this is mako family !!

has anyone ever seen mako's with a bourlette like that ??

reminds me very much of otodus/carcharocles lineage.

I have always thought the fat bourlette to be unique to that lineage.

if I had to guess a species i would have said it a juvanile meg.

very strange and interesting, shall have to do some research on this one.

They would probably be equally closely related because cretoxyrhina split off of the cretolamna liniage before the isurolamna and otodus linages.
