The shades of brown seems unusual, at all the other sites I can collect fish material from they tend to be black. As with all my fish from this formation this needs stuck back onto its counterpart and prepped out to have all the scales and plates on one side of the split but I don't feel ready to try this yet!

Absolutely its best to wait till you feel ready and its nice to know there's brilliant fossils waiting for you once you are!

Some of your fish looked like they have a really thin film of sediment still covering them is that the case?
