Wm.Spillman Posted June 13, 2017 Nice collection of Coon Creek mollusks, Herb! Is the bivalve labelled Arca micronema really from the Upper Cretaceous Coon Creek Fm? To me, it looks like Scapharca lesueuri Dall, which is early Oligocene. This Oligocene species is ubiquitous in our Byram Fm in east-central Mississippi. I have to admit that I'm completely unfamiliar with Arca micronema. How common was this form where you collected it? Link to comment
