Sclerorhynchus pettersi
Sclerorhynchus pettersi, North TX
Maastrichtian, Cretaceous
Jun, 2023
Supposedly distinguished from the Campanian Sclerorhynchus fanninensis teeth by their single hooked barb, however this feature seems to not be so definitive. Some specimens do not exhibit this hooked appearance while others do as shown in my sample as well as others. If the species are synonymous, S. pettersi is the preferred name.
