Found- July 10th, 2012

Scientific name- Xiphactinus audax

Common name- (Baby) giant fish!!

Late Cretaceous, Niobrara Formation, Smoky Hill Chalk, Western Kansas, Gove county

Length of jaw- 4cm

Yesterday I made a return trip to the site and found a vertebrae from the same fish! Its about the size of the eraser on a pencil!
