Need some help on these maybe fossils quarried from Blackberry hill, Wisconsin
SilurianSalamander posted a topic in Fossil ID
Found in the side of a building and in the surrounding landscaping. From the Cambrian seashore sandstone of Blackberry Hill Wisconsin. The place is known for its fossils of mass jellyfish strandings and its trace fossils of some of the first arthropods, mollusks, and other animals on land. What are these? Thanks!- 2 replies

Hi my name is William, As I don't have much to show yet. I will soon. I have this cool Ammonite fossil that I plan on 3D modeling and animating and will post on the forums when finished. I am also working on an Anomalocaris, and a Hallucigenia. Cambrian animals. Hoping to have Anomalocaris concept finished this weekend. Stay tuned. Thanks, William This is the 3D Scan of my Ammonite fossil. Actual fossil and size comparison. Hallucigenia concept. The back end of this guy I felt to me was an air sac to help it attach itself to rocks like a suction cup. If that is the back end? My spread of how I want my Anomalocaris to look like. As far as what I can see according to its fossil record the eye sockets extrude out on its sides. I gave its fins an even symmetry on both sides in a diamond shape as a whole. The fossil looks like it shows otherwise and I have seen some with symmetry. I think as it was fossilized I believe it was turning to cause a foreshortening on the imprint of the fossil I see. Not sure... that's why i'm on here.

Hi Guys, I'm new on here and I am a 3D Artist or Artist in general from 2D Illustrations to 3D. I really enjoyed learning as a child about dinosaurs and all animals. My Dad still holds on to my old Dinosaur toys and animal cards to this day and wont give them back to have something to remember me by. I will be 3D Modeling this Ammonite and animating it. I will share my progress on here with you all. I have an image below of my fossil as well as a 3D scan of it I had done, a while back at the Siggraph animation / technology convention by 3 rivers 3D. http://www.3rivers3d.com/gallery1.html. Thanks, William
