Found in Tampa area likely from shell pit. Haven't found one of these, is it tiger shark? Its decent size for what I've found in other species. Appreciate thoughts!

Found this tooth in Central Iowa in the river. We have had a drought for 2 years, and our rivers are very low, which let's my friends and I find artifacts, rocks, and fossils in the river that we normally couldn't access. We find lots of bison teeth, but this tooth seems different. Sorry, no metric ruler. 2.54 cm in an inch.

Spino tooth natural or restored/ repaired
carch_23 posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi TFF, Would like for your advice on this spino tooth I saw online. Ive been looking at some of your old threads on how spino teeth have famously been repaired or restored. Ive been, in a way, sort of been able to detect whether they have been fixed up. this one however is labelled 100% natural and messaged the seller, he also confirmed nothing has been done on the tooth and its condition is how it was found straight from the ground. Size is 4 inches so quite nice and wanted to double check as most of his listings of this size have been also labelled repaired or restored. price imo was also pretty good for its size and condition, though seller does seem reputable and many positive reviews, zero negatives. But I guess it doesnt hurt to ask for more opinions from you guys. Thanks in advance!- 5 replies

Looking to purchase the tooth, seller has it listed as odontocete but I believe it is squalodon. If it is squalo I will definetly be buying immediately. Also figured that it would be a good thumbnail when people search squalodon on the forum as you dont see them very often. Thanks all

Want to know if this is real and if it's real is it a Deinotherium tooth and if so is it worth getting or could I find better? The information given: - From upper Miocene age (Sarmatian) ca: 11-13 million years old Deinotherium (ancient elephant with tooth like hoe) Prodeinotherium bavaricum upper left M2 (penultimate) molar. The tooth was found near Gornji Vakuf in Bosnia. Size ca: 74 mm x 74 mm x 75 mm. Weight: 408 gram + packing. The root of the tooth was mouldered, the remained part was impregnated with glue. The part of the enamel in some places is partial.

Chenanisaurus Barbaricus Tooth? Or Carch?
Kurufossils posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Came across this tooth labeled as an abelisaurus belonging to chinanisaurus barbaricus from the Maastrichtian supposedly found in the phosphate mines of the Ouled Abdoun basin. Looks pretty thick to be abelisaurus and comparable to an extent to some carcharodontosaurus teeth. Is there a way tell the difference or will there need to be more specifics involved.- 12 replies

I'm a rookie. This is my first post. I've been out on two "expeditions" and made some interesting finds. North East Texas, Fannin County, Eagle Ford Group, Ozan Formation, North Sulfur River Bed. It appears to be a fossil tooth. Please help identify. Thanks!

I inherited my grandfather's modest fossil collection, and in it was this 8 cm wide by 19cm long fossil that I need help identifying. It is pointed at one end, has external ridges and an internal hollow at the other--features that look tooth-like to me, but I'm a newbie at this. Unfortunately I have no information on location of discovery or likely age. My hope is that fossils like this are common enough that one of the more educated and experienced here will recognize it right away. I'd be grateful even for best guesses that help me direct further research.

When I close my hand together it looks even more monstrous. Share yours and join the wide boyclub Got the idea while thinking about what the widest megalodon tooth ever found measures, if anyone does know do share in this thread! -

Receiving this gorgeous but mysterious specimen is from Upper Pennsylvanian limestone dated around 290-300 million years ago from somewhere around Kansas City. Looks like a tooth to me and my best guess would be orodus? But I have little experience with Pennsylvanian shark teeth in general and especially from this area, also cannot find a comparison elsewhere online. Any help will be appreciated.
