Two new sauropod papers are available online at PeerJ: Philip D. Mannion; Ronan Allain; Olivier Moine (2017). "The earliest known titanosauriform sauropod dinosaur and the evolution of Brachiosauridae". PeerJ. 5: e3217. doi:10.7717/peerj.3217. Emanuel Tschopp; Octávio Mateus (2017). Osteology of Galeamopus pabsti sp. nov. (Sauropoda: Diplodocidae), with implications for neurocentral closure timing, and the cervico-dorsal transition in diplodocids. PeerJ. 5: e3179. doi:10.7717/peerj.3179. Vouivria had been documented in the literature for decades, but the fact that Vouivria is older than other brachiosaurids fills a gap in the fossil record of early titanosauriforms, and because Moabosaurus has a mosaic of basal macronarian (spatulate teeth) and titanosauriform features, the picture of early titansauriform evolution in a chronological context becomes complicated.

Hi, i found this in the burdigalian of Roquefort in the department of Landes in the South-West of France. I hesitate between a sponge or a coral, but it might be something else. It is very light comparing with a stone of the same size.

I found that coral in the Kimmeridgian of la pointe du Chay, Charentes-Maritime. I have a documentation that shows some corals of that area and the one that looks like more is the Pseudocoenia hexaphyllia, what do you think it is ? The hole in which it is is about 4 cm on 3 cm.
