Hi, I found this in the London Clay at Beltinge Herne Bay, can anyone please help with ID of what it possibly might be? its around 8cm long and 2-3mm thick. it was dark when I found it and is now getting lighter in colour as it dries. Seems to have a few layers and the middle layer is a little transparent maybe? Thanks for any help in IDing, Kylie

Fossils found in London Clay, Walton-On-The-Naze, Essex, England
StephenKuta posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi everyone, I found these whilst beach combing for fossils at Walton-On-The-Naze, Essex, England just a few meters from the London Clay level. They are fossilised and look like vertebrae. can anyone help identify which mammal they came from. They were found together in the same spot, stuck amongst pyrite and shingle. a big thank you in advance Stephen- 7 replies

Animal, vegetable, or just mineral!? - UK, Isle of Sheppey, Minster
palaeochat647 posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi all, I'd be ever so grateful if someone could assist me in identify the attached photos (top, bottom and side views). Location specimen found: UK, Isle of Sheppey, Minster, along the coast walking south east towards east end, near the shipwreck. Collected: 18/08/2016 I've looked up London clay fossils finding various, similar looking structures, however it seems to me more than likely just rock/mineral formations but wasn't 100% sure, any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks- 14 replies
