  1. Came across this tooth on the internet. Although not my own interest, it does make an interesting conversation. How much of this tooth is real? It's 7,5 inches in length. Spinosaurid.
  2. Hi, do you think this Spinosaurus Tooth is legit ?
  3. This tooth is just shy of 4 inches, is this from an adult Spinosaurus? How big was it, based on the tooth size? I’m also curious if the bottom of this tooth is the root or worn enamel.

    Spinosaur bone?

Can anyone help with IDing this as a potential spinosaurus bone? It’s from morocco, which I know is the appropriate place, although I don’t know what site it’s from, but assuming it’s from the correct place, can anyone tell if this could be spinosaurus? I feel like the color seems a little weird for being from Kem Kem, but I don’t know any more than just what I always see that is apparently from Kem Kem, is generally a different color. Thanks so much for any/everyone who responded and could give any info on the subject!
  5. Hi, one of my friend sent me photos. And he said it’s from Spinosauridae. But I don’t really know it and it’s original or not. Ma I know the preservation of it is good or not, please? Thank you
  6. Hi all again, someone send me today these photos. Could someone confirm to me that this bone is a Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus caudal vertebrae? Sizes are visible from photos. I don't know from what bed formation it was find. Thank you very much.

    Spinosaurus jaw?

This is being sold as a Spinosaur jaw piece from the Kem Beds, Morocco. I have my doubts and suspect it's either crocodile or Mosasaur, but would like your opinions. Unfortunately these are the only photos I got. @Troodon @LordTrilobite Size 4 inch (10 cm)
  8. Hi. I need some help on this claw. I read the topics on buying claws but i still find it very hard to tell if its real or not . Is this one worth buying and if its real how much of it is restauration . Thanks
  9. Hi again, i found this bone on web. In your opinion, could it be a metatarsal bone from a spinosaurus aegyptiacus? Some info: Location: Taouz, South Morocco Kem Kem Beds Geological Formation: Ifezouane Fm Size: 25,4 cm Thank you very much. :-)

    Real Spinosaurus claw?

Getting much better with recognizing fake Spinosaurus claws, however I'm having a little difficulty with this one. I'm seeing clear bone structure, but am wondering if it's just a carved piece of bone. Any opinions, @Troodon?
  11. Hi everyone, A seller sent me a video and picture of a big Spinosaurus teeth. But I’m not sure it’s real or partial real. May I get some advice from you, please? Thank you 79ba3d29-8c73-4ee4-b278-cb789d86f3f0.mp4
  12. Hi everyone, as I was looking for Carcharodontosaurus claws. I came upon this other claw instead. A handclaw (16,5 cm) from KemKem Basin, Taouz Morocco. What is your opinion on this claw?
  13. Hi everyone! I bought a batch of fossils from Tegana Formation, in Morocco. Among the fossils there are those reptile teeth: The seller assures that the five in the top row are Spinosaurus aegyptiacus (or at least Spinosaurid species). The three in the bottom row are reported as Elosuchus cherifiensis. The seller is reliable, however I noticed that the teeth are all very similar to each other. Is there a possibility that they all belong to the Spinosaurus or Elosuchus species? Is there any way to tell the two types of teeth apart? Below I put a few photos of the individual teeth.
  14. Good evening, May I know is any real Spinosaurus teeth in the box, please? Thank you.
  15. Good evening, The seller from Morocco sent me some more boxes again. I hope to find phalanges of Spinosaurus in these boxes. May I have some advice from you, please? Thank you so much.
  16. Hi. May I know what the quality of the vertebral is, please? Thank you
  17. Hi, I've found this specimen. It can be an original Spinosaurus hand claw? 1.8×4.3×15.5 cm Morocco, Low Cretaceous It is reported as restored In your opinion, can I trust to buy this item? Could it be original? Thank you very much
  18. Good morning. A seller from Morocco sent me pictures of Spinosaurus. But I have no idea with it. May I get some advice from you, please? Thank you
  19. Hi All, Completely new to the world of fossil collecting and starting small and safe with teeth! But I’m conscious that there are a lot of fakes out there so to be safe I’ve completely written off the popular, colourful Auction site. I have two fossils at the moment (please see my other real/fake post!) which I decided to buy off a site. They are well regarded on local groups and forums so seemed like the proper way of buying my first fossils. In hindsight, I may have naively rushed into the purchases out of excitement without getting opinions from TFF (more because I didn’t know this place existed!). My first fossil was, like many newbies, a Moroccan Spinosaurus tooth. The stated information is given below: Spinosaurus sp. indet Tegana Formation, Aptian, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco I do hope they are genuine, but I’d rather know the truth if they aren’t. If it is real, I’d also been keen to know any insight on condition, features, opinions you all may have! Thanks in advance!
  20. I recently picked up this "rooted" spinosaurid tooth, and I wanted to get some feedback on it. I have provided both the seller's original pictures and pictures I took of the tooth. My best guess is that there are authentic root elements present, but it's a composite piece. There is a clear seam that runs along the center of the root, indicating that the bottom half of the root was attached to the rest of the tooth. That doesn't always mean that it's a composite, but it's really hard to tell whether the two halves are associated. My inclination is they are not, but I am also not an expert on rooted theropod teeth. The base of the root looks real, but from mid-root up to the base of the crown, it's really hard to tell what is filler and what is root. Normally, I wouldn't pick up a tooth that was this questionable, but the seller assured me I could return it if I wasn't happy with it. I look forward to reading your responses to this topic. Seller's pictures: My pictures: I circled the seam/break that I mentioned above:
  21. Good morning. A seller sent me a video. It’s all about the claw, phalanges and premaxilla of Spinosaurus. May I have some opinions of them, please? Thank you so much IMG_8854.MOV
  22. So I have had this in my collection for long time was told its a claw just not sure fro. What species it is from Was dug up near the kem kem basin in morocco near a barite mine can anyone help its the bigger piece
  23. Hi Everyone, A seller sent me many pictures and told me that are from Spinosaurus. But he can’t give me more detail. Would you help me to know about which part of Spinosaurus is, please? I marked the red circles for them. Thank you very very much
  24. Can anybody help with identifying if this is a real Spinosaurus tooth? Thank you in advanced.
