As usual, there was food, laughter and lots of new faces! It was the biggest meet-up I've ever had at my place, with 30 people in my house that day. It is also the last meet-up at my house as I will have new responsibilities (marriage, new house etc) soon so I won't be able to host any other gatherings for a long time. First up, a quick look at my room: Thankfully, my brother was willing to let me temporarily display some fossils in his room:- 21 replies

Hello everybody So I would like to trade one of my Megalodon tooth. It one solid tooth and pretty symmetrical on both sides. They measure 13,6 cm (5.35 in). Display stand is included in the trade and shipping worldwide is possible. It is from the Hawthorn Group in North Carolina Only downside is, that there are no fine serrations present on the tooth. I hope the pictures do it justice. If more pictures are needed, just ask I'm looking for Dinosaur material/teeth, especially Theropod teeth. Teeth from North America are very welcomed but not only from there. Let's just see what you got. Any offer is welcome and highly appreciated. If you want it, but don't think you got the stuff I'm looking for to trade, PM me nevertheless. Let me see what you have to offer and we'll see While we're at it. Also got some Fish to trade from Solnhofen.

Public Service Announcement RE:TRADING
Fossildude19 posted a topic in Member-to-Member Fossil Trades
We enjoy an honest, tight knit community. However, we do occasionally have the odd interloper who will try to take advantage of our open nature. So, when dealing with less active or new members, please be sure to check photos of items offered. Do a reverse image search to make sure they have not been copied from elsewhere online. Ask questions, and get many photos. Remember...if it seems too good to be true...it usually isn't true. As always, if you have any concerns a member is dishonestly trading or selling on TFF, please privately contact anyone on the Staff. EDIT: HOW TO DO A REVERSE IMAGE SEARCH-

Hello all fossil-friends! (I'm not sure whether this is in the right thread, if it's not I'd love the admins to put it where it's meant to be .) Anyways, I wanted to tell everyone that their is a big fossil market at Ede (Netherlands) this weekend, and that I would love you to come! It is organized by the Paleobiologische Kring van Nerderland/Vlaanderen (Paleobiological Group of Netherlands/Flanders), the Werkgroep Fossielen Wageningen (Workgroup Fossils Wageningen), and the famous Fossiel.NET (basically a Dutch version of TFF); many other organizations/museums will be there too. There will be plenty of stuff to do: amateur-paleontologist encounters, fossil IDing by experts, fossil trading, fossil buying/selling, lectures by paleontologists, prep demonstrations, and many other fun fossil-related activities/workshops! Here's the info you need to know: Date: Saturday 11th March 2017 Time: 10:30 till 16:00 Address: Het ROVC, Galvanistraat 13, 6716 AE, Ede, NETHERLANDS Entry fee: FREE! Stuff to bring with you: fossils you are willing to trade, to prep, to get IDd, etc; and some money. No food needed (drinks and food available). Here is a link with all the information you need: https://english.fossiel.net/beursede/ BUT: this is only for fossils, so NO minerals, artifacts, etc.! I will of course be there, and I hope that you will also be. I hope to see you there! Max PS: I'm not an organizer or anything of the event, I'm just telling everyone about it so that there will be more people to meet.

Singapore Fossil Collectors 2014 Year End Meet-Up
-Andy- posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
2014 was an awesome year of fossil-collecting, and as always, the Singapore Fossil Collectors had a meet-up to usher in the new year. Allow me to present some of the pictures taken. Doing the final cleaning up of my fossil cabinet before the guests arrive... -
Hi all, 2013 has been an interesting year for many fossil collectors. Since the Singapore community is so small, we have regular meet-ups and trading sessions with one another. Here I would like to share on the delightful events we had for the last quarter of 2013. Firstly, there is an ongoing exhibition at the Singapore Science Center called 'Titans of the Past', which is set up by Jack Horner and his talented team. The Singapore Fossil Collectors group was invited by the Science Center to give a talk on dinosaurs and paleontology for a dinosaur-science camp. Imagine our surprise at how knowledgeable the kids (aged 9-12) were, even knowing facts like Amphicoelias being the largest known dinosaur based on fragmented remains, and Argentinosaurus being the largest confirmed sauropod. Or that Eoraptor was one of the earliest dinosaurs. Other events to continue on below posts.
