Hi all! Was once a classic dinosaur-kid, but the interest has come back in full-force! I love cambrian-era fauna, my favorite being the Anomalocaris, and its Pokemon equivalent Anorith! I've been on a couple trips to Mazon Creek, hoping to learn more about that area and local fossils as a whole. I spend most of my time with art and video games, but my collecting spirit is with me in all interests I don't have much in terms of fossils quite yet, unlike my hoard of Shiny Pokemon! Happy to be here and lurk the forum LOL

Howdy! I’m Fossilsupremacy, an amateur fossil hunter/decent artist who enjoys pokemon, dinosaurs, and speculative biology! I recently found my first fossil out on a nearby lake (more info in the fossil id area) and i’m excited to find more fossils around here and start a brand new collection!

Hello to everyone! My name is Oleg, I live in Calgary in Canadian province of Alberta. I am a 3D artist by occupation, but recently I have decided to try myself in paleoart, as I have been interested in paleontology, fossils and prehistoric animals since my childhood. I cannot say that I am an experienced fossil collector, but I do enjoy fossil-hunting as I live in the unique place: you drive for one hour east and find yourself in the Dinosaur Country of Red Deer badlands; you go west - and you find yourself on the bottom of Cambrian see in the middle of Canadian Rockies. I hope to meet new people that share common interest in paleontology, also would be looking for critique and advice regarding my paleoart I am going to post here.

Hey everyone! Here's my latest piece of paleoart, T-rex! I used ink and watercolors. I didn't want to color it the traditional green or brown so I looked at vultures for reference. I find it difficult to believe the theory that T-rex was exclusively a scavenger but I thought the vulture colors would make it look nasty. Hope you like it and I'd love to know what you all think! -Mike

No, not what you might expect! Not a cheater trying to sell a fake - this is serious artwork! So relax and enjoy. "Cartoon characters are created into a fossilized skeleton on the same stone next to a genuine fossil of fishes and plants from Jurassic times. These are presented within the context of a Natural History Museum. For her latest project, “Fossil”, the artist Liu Fei presents fragments of rock embedded with the fossilized skeletons of contemporary icons from popular Disney cartoons and Japanese anime.." Let me introduce "Donald" by Liu Fei Studio: http://liufeistudio.com/fossil/ The "fossils" are pretty cool and look quite realistic. If they wouldn't be Disney cartoon characters and Japanese animes, but birds or turtles instead, most people would believe them being real fossil. So buyers beware - everything is possible! Even a fossil Mickey Mouse! Have fun Thomas
