  5. Together with the brittle star Furcaster decheni STUERTZ, 1886. Palaeoisopus was one of the largest predators of this fauna with a length of up to 25 cm and a maximum diameter of about 40 cm with spread legs. This is a (slightly disarticulated) juvenile specimen.
