Hello, a local store brought this fossils from Tucson and are selling them. Are chunks of different dinosaurs. Is it really possible to ID the dinosaur with just this kind of piece? Or you have to hope that the guy that found them, found other pieces in the same matrix to be able to ID it? Thanks!!

Hello, I found this chunk of bone on a cliff on a beach in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE (United Arab Emirates). I know that identifying chunks of bone is difficult, but I thought that by it's size, weird vein markings? (fig.1), and sevreal holes running through the middle (fig. 2 and 3), that this would be more easily identified. I am thinking it might have belonged to some type of elephant. (Miocene in age)

Hi! I’m an amateur fossil hunter from the southern coast of GA. While on a dredged Island, I encountered a fragment of something. I believe this could be a carchorodon megalodon tooth fragment because of it’s smooth “enamel”, sandy texture, and thinkness. Dozens of megalodon teeth have been found in this area. Thoughts? This would help a lot!
