I no longer know if there is a genuine Spinosaurus claw in this world. fake. fake. fake. full of fakes. I honestly want to take it to my grave. However, there are only fakes and the real thing can not be found at all. Do real Spinosaurus claws exist in this world?

Hello, I wanted to ask about this partial claw I came across, identified as a Nuthetes destructor dromeosaurid hand claw found in Hastings, Wealden of Sussex of the UK. It measures 0.5 cm. From what I can tell this species has only been described from teeth and partial jaw fragments, and @Troodon told me that Nuthetes being a tooth taxon is not even described from this locality. He also wasn't confident that it is even dinosaur/theropod. What could it be?

connorghabra posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Do you guys think this is real or fake. I'm assuming fake, but thought I would post to see if you would be willing to give any insight. Apparently it was found in the Kem Kem Basin, Morocco, Africa. -

Hello, friends, I want to determine the species of this claw from Iren formation, Inner Mongolia? I know that there are oviraptor and potential Troodon in Iren formation. I think it most likely belongs to one of both? I really appreciate if someone can give me some clues.

Good evening, my friends. I got some new collection on yesterday. And I really want to share to all of you. Please check the pictures. They're claws of Spinosaurus, 6", 4.75", 3.75". I'm sure I will make a whole arm of Spinosaurus in somedays. Because that would be amazing! I'm sure about that. Enjoy! Cris

Yesterday, I returned to a hunting location that I had not been in a couple years. It is difficult to get to... lack of paved road and miles of kayaking, I always have great anticipation, and I did find lots of fossils, lot of bones, some teeth, but curiously few that I did not recognize. Might be E. eomigrans based on other fauna found here... Found a number of Horse teeth, uppers and lowers, too large for tridactyl and then this slightly damaged one... I think it is N. eurystyle, but curious on what others think. Then a Giant Tortoise leg spur or....maybe a claw core... I have this from @Harry Pristis and then a number of turtle claw cores...including one from @PrehistoricFlorida So I'll ask Harry to comment on differences between Tortoise leg Osteoderms versus Tortoise claw cores versus Turtle claw cores... Finally , I will conclude with a rather mundane , small broken fish tail... Is this really in the Billfish or Tuna family as advertised on the net. This tail is 44 mm in length and about the same size as the few others I have found. I guess there were Bonita back in the Pliocene also

I have recently found this forum and have been going through various posts. All very interesting but now has me questioning everything I own. I have been able to identify everything as real or fake except the dreaded Spinosaurus claw. It is something I have gotten years ago and I keep going back and forth on it so I need you expert opinions on it. It weights about 77 grams if that helps.

Hi everyone, I recently stumbled upon a dinosaur claw from the Kem Kem formation in Morocco. It dates to the Late Cretaceous. By the flat bottom and lack of a sharp point it clearly belonged to a herbivore. I am aware that there is very little documentation on fossils from this area, especially wen it comes to herbivores. Yet I was wondering of someone might know to what (general) species or family this claw could belong. Similar claws from other geographical areas are more then welcome as well for reference. Note: the scale bar in the photo is in centimeters, meaning the claw is about 3 inches.

Hi @Troodon, I've got one more for you. It's from the Hell Creek formation, Power River co, Montana. It's 7/8" long, but might have been more like 1.5" long if complete, since the point looks like it'd get very slender and long. Potentially with left blood groove swinging up around the top. (The blood grooves are very asymmetrical in trajectory.) Thanks!
