L.S., As the title says, please show us your fertile plant fossils --- Seeds, pollen organs, sporangia, flowers, cones and a great many other types of fructifications: the plant kingdom is incredibly diverse in terms of reproductive strategies. The vast majority of plant fossils consist of purely vegetative remains, however, making the chance encounter with fertile remains all the more special. I'd love to see your gems! To start off, I'll share some examples from my own collection below. Hello to all. This is my collection of flora from the Carboniferous period. This topic will be filled gradually - there is a lot of material. All material originates from the Araukarite Formation of the Gzhel Stage of the Upper Pennsylvania Carboniferous period (303.4 Ma). Unless otherwise specified, it means that the default sample is from this formation. The type of substitution is silicification (sometimes with ferruginization), sometimes with quartz crystals on the surface of the samples. Enjoy watching Part 1. Sample 1. I think the cylindrical ones are crinoids but not sure on the cones Garage sale find in NW San Antonio. May or may not be from San Antonio. One of the cones is broken in half (pictured) and the broken sides of some cones (also pictured) I noticed that the cones have a line going down from tip to the bottom (one pictured) Please help ID

Dear members, I've not posted in the ID section from a long time, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me a more precise ID on these forgotten in time cones from Morocco I had in my collection. As far as I know, they are not well documented. Any suggestion is welcomed.

I found this today, I believe it is a smaller sample of one on a previous post. Someone thought it may be inner bark? I wonder if it is a leaf? The other image is the fossil on the same specimen, not sure what it is.
