Here is my next comedic fossil prep video. This one, which was very fun to make, also changed my life. Down 27 lbs since this video was made.

After all the time spent on bulk removal for the last Tumido concretion I thought it was time for a little guy. Still 11 cm across though. Took me two hours of careful scribing to find the top as opposed to 2 days of chiselling and scribing on the big guy.

I bought this from a fellow member last June or July. I was planning on buying some prep equipment to do it, but the funds never materialized. So I did what any broke noob would do, I bought a $7 glass etcher. Hahaha! This guy has BEAUTIFUL coloring! Tans, browns, creams, etc. But he's tiny. Not the easiest specimen for a noob. But I have trust in my steady hand, saint like patience and my detailed nature. So I went for it. Everything was looking great until I started his right side. It looks like something had crushed his whole right side. I was going to restore it (clay, paint, clear), but I think it's neat when fossils are crushed. It makes them feel more "alive" to me. Yeah, I wish he was more complete, but maybe the next one will be. I even surprised myself and uncovered some of his eye sockets. And unfortunately his claws are mostly underneath of him.....so I didn't want to venture that deep. Any pointers for a noob? Besides suggesting to buy the right equipment....hahaha....
