Hi all! I got a digital microscope for christmas and I'm finally getting around to uploading the photos I've taken on it. Here are some closeups I took of a piece of bone I found when I hunted the Cloverly formation in Montana for a morning back on my first ever trip out west in 2013. Looking back on that experience with the knowledge I have now, I can truly appreciate what a rare experience I had as I've learned that this particular formation is rare to be able to hunt on. I'll tell the whole story of how my family and I made it onto this ranch in the first place, but that's for another time. Pics from the cross section: Pics of the surface of the bone:

Hi, I recently purchased this bone unprepared and prepared it myself, I was wondering what type of bone it is, and what kind of animal it comes from? It is about three and a half inches, I’m not sure of the age but most of the stuff I’ve got from that seller is hell creek formation.

Seller doesn't know what it's from beyond claw and phalanx from Kem Kem in Morocco. Price is pretty good, so it tempts me if anyone has any idea what it's from. I have seen these crop up as raptor claws or deltadromeus claws elsewhere--which to me seems more speculative putting a name to it than it actually being from one of those species. But if anyone knows anything, that would be great.

Hey guys, I saw this listed as a suchomimus tooth. I know suchomimus tooth is quite rare and I don’t have much experience with it. Do you guys think it’s really a suchomimus tooth?

Hello, hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to share with you what I believe to be an ankylosaur or nodosaur tooth I found while hunting through my bag of Aguja fm matrix from western texas. The tooth is about 7 mm in length and has a bulge at the base which curves to become flattened as the crown continues. I hope I got this ID right as it would be my first Ankylosaurian tooth I've ever found.

My little boy and I were digging around in the gravel in our garden and came across this stone which looks like a tooth of some sort? Is anyone able to assist in identifying it, even just to confirm if it's a fossil and not an old dog tooth? It's about an inch in size from tip to the base.

Got access to some more private land near Dinosaur PP, company owned. My friend was familiar with this area since he was a kid so he said we should check it out, and we found some awesome dinosaur fossils! So far nothing was collected, but yesterday I got ahold of the land supervisor for the company and after receiving some paperwork coming my way on Monday I will be permitted to surface collect anything I find in this area, so this thread will be updated with more finds this coming week. Here are some photos of what we found so far: A lot of the bones looked like they were from a hadrosaur, sort of confirmed when I found this hadrosaur tooth. However there were two partial tyrannosaurid teeth nearby as well...maybe the hadrosaur got munched on... Limb bone (?) with multiple vertebrae nearby. I set them next to the large bone for the photo. Another vert, this one is in the ground so unfortunately I can’t do anything with it. Many, many bones were scattered around the area. Much more photos to come...very excited about collecting here!!

I found this tooth in my Aguja matrix and the serrations are way larger than any of the other teeth I've found! I can take more pictures but this tooth is so tiny and I'm unsure of it's exact measurements.

Hi. I am a new collector from Canada. I recently got into fossil collecting after a visit to dinosaur provincial park in Alberta. I am just getting started and collecting equipment. I could use some tips on how to get started. Thank you.

Hi TFF! I'm glad I found this forum, I'm a new collector and this group will guide and help me grow my collection. Here's my first item that I purchased in Japan. Feel free to comment about it's legitimacy. Thank you and God bless

Today we celebrate those large, extinct reptiles: dinosaurs. So let them roar and show us your dinosaur fossils or favourite museum photograph . This is a treasure of mine T.rex maxillary tooth Garfield county Montana Hell Creek Formation . and my ex museum model from NHML of a euoplocephalus that Mrs R gave for my birthday . I restored and repainted it. This is Dippy on tour from NHML at Birmingham Museum, the city of my childhood .

Hey guys, I have had this claw in my collection for a few months now, I was told that this was a dromaeosaur claw. I wanted to get it looked at by the forum since I’m still just an amateur when it comes to fossils. Was hoping to get some thoughts on it. Thanks!

Hey all, some folks I know around here own land by Dinosaur Provincial Park and were kind enough to not only let me explore their land but also surface collect. This particular bone I’m unsure about. It’s pretty sun bleached. Maybe a Hadrosaur foot bone of some sort?

Hey guys, I saw this shown as a “raptor”/dromaeosaur claw. What do you guys think? Is it dromaeosaurid? Is it a dinosaur claw?

One more odd one - again, Judith river formation northern Montana. Weird asymmetry that’s got me wondering. Found in the same location as a bunch of other Dino bones - almost like a washout. Crocs, meat eaters, hadrosaurs, all in the same a spot

Found yesterday near the milk river, Judith river formation. The biggest vert we’ve found for sure. Several other fairly large verts nearby that seemed to be hadrosaur, but not sure - and still 1/2 the size. Lots and lots of meat eater bones as well. -sorry the photos are rotated

Dinosaur egg with forming dinosaur?
Dino1 posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hey guys, I saw this listed as a dinosaur egg with developing dinosaur. I have heard that dinosaur eggs with developing dinosaurs are extremely expensive so I am a little skeptical about this. Any thoughts on it? -
I've just cleaned up a big batch of Hell Creek bones and I'm struggling to ID a few of them. I have some ideas as to a few, but others I'm clueless (and I'm sure some won't be able to be ID'd beyond indeterminate dino/reptile bone). These four are all pretty big. The largest, second from the right, is just over 6.5 inches. I've attached a picture of that one before I repaired it as it has very thick walls. That bone and second from the left are very heavy for their size, so I'm assuming they're theropod (probably leg bones). I haven't a clue with the other two, but they're an odd shape.
